Buddhist Wedding

As Buddhist monk is not allowed to make marriage blessing outside the Buddhist temple called Vihara, blessing procession of Buddhist wedding can only be performed at Buddhist Vihara. Blessing in wedding venue like hotel, villa, etc. is therefore not possible. We normally arrange adequate transportation to the nearest Buddhist Vihara for religious procession and go back to the venue for informal celebration or party.

Required for Buddhist wedding are copy of both passports and copy of both birth certificates. After the wedding you will receive official marriage certificate from the Indonesian authority of Buddhist Community called WALUBI.

We can arrange to invite government official from the Office of Civil Registry to come to the Vihara for those who want to also have legal civil wedding. Check detail of required documents for civil wedding in the civil wedding section. In this case, you will get both certificate, which are official marriage certificate from the Indonesian authority of Buddhist Community called WALUBI, and legal civil marriage certificate from the Office of Civil Registry.

Included in Buddhist wedding ceremony are:

  • Buddhist Monk.
  • Donation to the Buddhist temple.
  • Ceremonial offerings including fruit, flower, incense, candle and others.
  • Religious marriage certificate of from WALUBI.
  • Document processing to WALUBI.
