Moslem Wedding

Moslem wedding is the only wedding procession which automatically gets government legalization, which mean that separated civil wedding is not required any longer. Likewise, there is no choice of getting religious marriage only – without government legalization.

Moslem wedding procession is led by Penghulu which acts on behalf of the bride’s father. After procession, you will get “Buku Nikah” serving as a marriage certificate issued by KUA, which is actually a government agency under the Ministry of Religious Affair. Buku Nikah is a document which is legal throughout Indonesia and also your own country after getting officially translated by the local representative of your country in Indonesia (Consulate in Bali or Embassy in Jakarta.

Required for Moslem wedding are:

  • Copy of passport (both groom and bride).
  • Copy of KTP (Kartu Tanda Penduduk for Indonesian).
  • Copy of birth certificate (both groom and bride).
  • Copy of divorce letter (for those which have been married before).
  • Copy of death certificate of previous spouse and previous marriage certificate (for widows).
  • Surat rujukan dari KUA setempat (N1, N2, N3 for Indonesian).
  • 6 pieces of photographs size 2cm x 3cm and 6 pieces of photographs size 3cm x 4cm.
